Conference ‘Biomethane in Ukraine: Opportunities and Development’ 2025.

A large-scale conference held with the support of the Bioenergy Association of Ukraine, the Energy Community and the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) brought together a number of international and Ukrainian experts and demonstrated significant interest in the topic of biomethane in Ukraine.

The conference aimed to raise awareness of the potential of biomethane in Ukraine's energy balance, review the current state and potential of the biomethane market in Ukraine, focusing on the political and regulatory framework supporting biomethane production, the availability of feedstock and its sustainable supply in Ukraine. In addition, the economic feasibility and financing models for biomethane production projects, environmental benefits and sustainability aspects, as well as challenges and opportunities for the growth of the biomethane sector in Ukraine were highlighted. Examples of successful biomethane production projects in Ukraine were presented.
